Estimating environmental damage in Ukraine for UNEP

In response to the ongoing conflict in Ukraine, the NICOLE Foundation supported UNEP’s 4th Rapid Needs Assessment by developing a high-level methodology to estimate the environmental impacts of war-related damage.

This tool enables timely and consistent evaluation of evolving environmental threats across conflict-affected zones and enhances UNEP’s ability to prioritize and respond effectively.
