Turning pollution's legacy into solutions

Explore how the NICOLE Foundation delivers real-world impact – protecting people, ecosystems, and biodiversity through practical interventions.

Environmental pollution leaves behind challenges that can persist for decades – contaminated land and water, damaged ecosystems, and communities exposed to serious health risks.

At the NICOLE Foundation, we step in where traditional solutions fail – when the polluter can’t pay, governments lack resources, or crises unfold in conflict zones where help is hardest to deliver.

Our projects are driven by:

  • Scientific rigour – using evidence-based methods to diagnose problems and design interventions.

  • Speed and agility – mobilising quickly when urgent action is needed.

  • Collaboration – working alongside NGOs, multilateral agencies, local communities, and expert networks.

  • Transparency – providing clear, auditable reporting on our work and outcomes.

  • Sustainability – ensuring solutions last beyond our involvement by building local capacity and knowledge.

Every project is a step towards turning affected areas into renewed opportunities for people and the environment.
