NICOLE Foundation launches global Associate Network to connect expertise where it’s needed most

A new global platform designed to mobilise trusted experts and strategic partners to address environmental pollution in regions where others can’t or won’t act.

Because every community deserves a clean, healthy environment to thrive.

[28 October 2025] – The NICOLE Foundation has launched the Associate Network, a new global network designed to mobilise trusted experts and strategic partners to address environmental pollution in regions where others can’t or won’t act.

The initiative brings together two distinct pathways for engagement – Project-Ready Experts, who can contribute directly to field and technical work, and Strategic Allies, who strengthen impact through advocacy, and connections.

‘No one organisation can solve these problems alone. The pollution challenges we face are complex and urgent – and they demand a united response,’ said Johan De Fraye, Executive Director of the NICOLE Foundation. ‘Through the Associate Network, we’re bringing together people who not only understand the science, but who care enough to act.’

Pollution remains one of the greatest threats to human health and environmental stability, particularly in post-conflict, post-disaster, or politically complex regions. The NICOLE Foundation’s Associate Network seeks to fill this critical gap – connecting professionals and institutions that share a belief in science-based action, transparency, and long-term impact.

Through the network, members can:

  • Contribute directly to on-the-ground or remote projects

  • Provide technical or strategic advice on high-priority interventions

  • Mentor emerging professionals and help strengthen local capacity

  • Join a credible, global alliance working to restore contaminated land and safeguard communities

The Foundation welcomes applications from environmental experts, engineers, scientists, and senior professionals who wish to contribute their skills and influence to this shared mission.

Interested individuals can learn more and register via the Associate Network webpage.

About the NICOLE Foundation

The NICOLE Foundation is a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to protecting people, ecosystems, and biodiversity from environmental pollution – particularly in areas where the polluter pays principle can no longer be enforced and local capacity is stretched. Working through science, collaboration, and practical delivery, the Foundation advances projects that others deem too complex or underfunded to tackle.
